Title Data Center Manager

Director, Data Center Operations

The Job

The Data Center Manager is responsible for maintaining compliance with corporate initiatives, priorities, and product developments. This role understands and has strong knowledge of all mission critical systems that keep the Data Center operating at the highest level. The Data Center Manager also provides leadership to all team members and ensures safety rules and procedures are followed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client SLA (Service Level Agreements) compliance and reporting.
  • Staff 24x7 coverage to achieve operational excellence and SLA (Service Level Agreement)
  • Asset Lifecycle Management from arrival to Data Center to machine retirement.
  • Manage projects and oversees deployments as needed.
  • Goal setting for the performance and evolution of the Data Center.
  • Maintain SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) & EOP's (Emergency Operation Procedures).
  • Define and maintain performance metrics in all facets of the Data Center.
  • Ensure employees follow safety rules and procedures.
  • Ensure employees are trained and understand how to complete the jobs they are performing.
  • Foster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team as well as with co-workers/ teammates and leaders across the organization.

    Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
  • Previous leadership and team building skills required.
  • Good understanding of Network, Electrical, Mechanical, and building systems required.
  • Proficient with Web Based Programs, Excel, and Word Processing required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Basic product knowledge of blockchain and network equipment required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Previous experience in technology field preferred.
  • Work Environment

    This job operates in a data center environment. This role routinely uses standard data center equipment such as laptop computers, smartphones, voltmeter's, hash board testers, soldering iron, screwdrivers etc.

    Physical Demands

    This position is a management position; however, it is a physically demanding job when there are deployments, decommissions, or critical work to be done. The Data Center Manager must be a working supervisor to fill understaffed areas and to be onsite when there are deployments, decommissions, and other critical projects.

    Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position. General hours and days of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, when there are deployments, decommissions, critical projects, or emergencies, it is expected that the Data Center Manager be working onsite including evenings and weekends.

    Travel

    Occasional travel between data centers.
