What will you be doing at DeepL?

As the Product Operations Manager you will guide the enhancement of our product management processes, drive efficiency and consistency through automation, and ensure the seamless coordination between product tracks and teams. Your strategic mindset and operational expertise will contribute to the overall success of our products while empowering our product managers with best practices and knowledge. You will be responsible for ensuring that we maintain and iteratively improve a high performance product organisation as we continue to scale. To do this, you will work closely with our VP of Product and other cross functional stakeholders including Engineering and Product Design. Additionally, you will lead, grow and develop a team of Product Operations Specialists.

Your responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the VP Product to define and execute the DeepL product development flow.
  • Lead the design and implementation of reusable frameworks and automations to improve efficiency and consistency across product management teams.
  • Drive change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of process updates and frameworks.
  • Oversee the delivery of high-priority projects, providing guidance and support to Group Product Managers and Product Managers.
  • Develop and manage management reporting for product management, spanning team, track, and company-wide levels.
  • Ensure that we have robust processes for transparency and accountability to ensure the maximum ROI for our tech teams.
  • Maintain and update the comprehensive product roadmap process, internally and externally.
  • Foster streamlined communication between product management and other relevant departments within DeepL.
  • Elevate internal and external awareness of DeepL's product communication strategies and best practices.
  • Create, maintain, and analyse product management-related reports and dashboards to inform decision-making and track key performance indicators.
  • Contribute to the up-skilling of product teams through targeted learning and training initiatives, ensuring alignment with desired skills and competencies.
  • Support the growth, development and retention of our Product Operations Specialists.

  • You have relevant hands on experience in product operations, product management, or related roles.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record in a cross-functional and agile environment, including hands-on experience with project management.
  • Demonstrated success in leading process improvements, change management, and automation initiatives.
  • Experienced at working in an agile environment at global scale, and the resilience to work in high growth environments.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
