As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for a range of duties that include benefits administration, employee engagement, and office management. This role will act as the main point of contact for employee requests and questions (i.e. benefits, policies, processes, HRIS), as well as oversee all administrative duties in our SF office. This role is a hybrid role requiring 2 days in our SF office and reports directly to the HR Director.Responsibilities
Full benefit administration of plans including, medical, vision, dental, HSA, FSA, 401k, workers comp and leave of absences for US, Canadian and EU employees, as well as serve as the main point of contact with carriers and benefit broker Manages and creates seamless onboarding and offboarding processes including background checks, new hire orientation and documentation, I-9 verification, training, exit interviews, etc. Oversee and maintain office equipment, identify and fulfill office supply needs, pick up mail, maintain and manage vendors, and coordinate food delivery as needed Act as a strategic and operational thought partner to the People Team in creating positive employee experiences by facilitating in person and virtual events Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law Collaborate with the larger People Org to improve people programs, services, and systems Take on special projects and assist with ad-hoc responsibilities on an as needed basis
Bachelor's degree or HR Certification. Proven experience as an HR Generalist with a minimum of 2 years experience in benefit administration Knowledge of HRIS platforms, including systems related to benefits and payroll Must have experience processing documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions (including LOA paperwork processing) Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Must possess strong organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to meet competing deadlines Innate ability to take full ownership and follow-through/completion of all tasks while working independently with minimal supervision Must be self-directed and highly detail oriented with a strong aptitude in problem solving Team player who is comfortable with interacting with staff at all levels of the organization Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Ability to quickly adapt to a rapidly changing environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills
