The Indirect Procurement Manager is responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating the procurement strategy and activity for the indirect spend categories that support our domestic and future international offices. This will include strategizing to find cost-effective deals and terms with suppliers. The individual will work cooperatively with other technical specialists in various functions across the Firm to ensure purchases are made that will best help the Firm achieve their goals They will be the primary point of contact between suppliers and the business in many cases and will oversee and assure that purchases of goods and services are made according to budgetary and Firm policies.

The individual will participate in major procurement decisions and activities associated with purchases of IT Hardware, Software, Services, FF&E, Security & Telecoms, Marketing, Benefits, HR and Talent Acquisition and Travel and respond to a range of inquiries regarding processes or bid status, negotiating terms and conditions with vendors, placing, monitoring and approving orders, reviewing and approving vendor invoices, and achieving department objectives and goals related to cost savings and staying within budgets. They will also have team development responsibilities to lead process improvements, provide feedback, address performance challenges, delegate tasks, mentor and coach.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in indirect procurement
  • Managerial experience in procurement preferred
  • Numerical reasoning ability
  • Excellent program and project management skills
  • Preference for category management experience across all categories Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be comfortable coordinating tasks across multiple functions and global locations
  • Technology skills including those required to be proficient with financial accounting systems and programs (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint)
  • Strong Abilities to:

  • Evaluate current sourcing/procurement processes to continuously improve productivity and efficiency of the organization
  • Develop category management and sourcing strategies to allow May Mobility to capture cost reduction while maximizing quality, speed and scalability for all Indirect purchases
  • Consolidate spend across the company to capture buying power with key suppliers who are motivated by our growth and thrive for innovation
  • Analyze spend to develop cost reduction roadmaps and strategies
  • Earn trust with key partner teams to collaborate on requirements gathering, while leading RFP creation, response review, and supplier selection processes
  • Negotiate contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality while working with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the merchandising and supply chain departments to identify and pursue new supplier opportunities.
  • Estimate risks and apply mitigating techniques, as well as negotiate contracts that comply with industry regulations.
  • Negotiate for best possible cost service guarantee and develop win-win strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers
  • Maintain and develop supplier relationships that are incentivized by performance and innovation
  • Develop and implement mechanisms for new contracting requests and savings tracking
