Title Inventory Clerk

Reports To Processing Supervisor

The Job

As Inventory Clerk, you will assist the Processing Supervisor directly with both order processing efforts and shipping and receiving operations as well as other associated duties. In your role you will be required to stage, scan, tag, palletize, and document the overall process in addition to leading a temporary labor workforce in the absence of the supervisor. You will assist the supervisor in maintaining the accounting of company machine assets and will participate in periodic audits. You may be required to physically stage machines at various locations within the warehouse, as well as participate in the deploying, decommissioning and/or cleaning of machines. Additionally, you will be responsible for wrapping, recycling, and trash operations.

It will be your responsibility to maintain good working relationships, and to coordinate with the supervisor and others on goals, priorities, and team needs. This position requires a high degree of attention to detail, specifically in regard to machine counts, types, assigned locations, and documentation. You will need to be familiar with Microsoft Office tools, specifically, Excel. Additionally, you will need to become proficient with any Warehouse Management System application that is adopted in the future. You will need to be certified, or be able to be certified in forklift operations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Supervisors, associate Clerks, and temporary labor when processing shipments.
  • Keep track of machine types and quantities being processed.
  • Collaborate with Forklift Operators during staging operations.
  • Assist with inventory control procedures.
  • Lead temporary labor when necessary.
  • Palletize equipment per best practices.
  • Machine scanning and asset tagging.
  • Foster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team as well as with co-workers/ teammates and leaders across the organization.

    Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • Certified, or maintain the ability to be certified in forklift operations.
  • Ability to operate light industrial equipment.
  • Proven work experience within a team environment.
  • Ability to collaborate and work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in logistics and/or warehouse management.
  • Proficient with web-based and office document programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and computer-based equipment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to climb on and off elevated platforms and equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

    This role is based in Marble, NC.

    Travel

    Occasional travel between data centers may be required.

    Work Environment

    This job operates in a shipping and receiving and/or data center environment. This role routinely uses standard logistics management equipment such as laptop computers, smartphones, pallet jacks, palletizing equipment, forklifts, loading & unloading trucks, banding equipment, assets scanners and inventory management systems.

    Physical Demands

    Able to meet physical requirements of the job, such as working on ladders, racking heavy servers (up to 50 lbs.), running cables, lifting miners, bending, reaching, standing for long periods of time, working in hot and cold environments etc.

    Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time hourly position. General hours and days of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

    Supervisory Experience

    Preferred, but not required.
