We are looking for a Security Engineer I to join our team.
What You'll Do: Designing and executing on architecture plans, and bringing engineering solutions to reality with a Dev and SecOps mindset & culture
Working closely with stakeholders to gather technical requirements, architect solutions and execute on deliverables
Collaborating with various stakeholders in multiple technical disciplines: including developers, subject matter experts, database administrators, system administrators, and system architects to support existing and implement new security solutions
Designing, building, operating, and maintaining a data protection/data loss prevention practice
Conduct security awareness training for employees and contractors.
Serving as a technical advisor to management concerning the planning, development, design, procurement, maintenance, and implementation of security for enterprise-level systems
Participate in audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory assessments.
Mentoring team members in information systems cloud security best practices
Helping to build and configure plans, code pipelines and automated solutions that can be re-used and/or scale
Monitoring and evaluating audit and compliance industry trends and third-party tools
Functioning as a core member of the security architectural review board
Acting as a core member of the office of the information security team
Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies and provide recommendations to enhance our organization's security posture
About You:
1+ years of experience performing security and/or infrastructure solution architecture
3+ years of experience engineering and building cloud architecture with AWS, AWS IAM, PaaS offerings and experience in both AWS Commercial & Government
Experience and understanding of Infrastructure as Code, Automation, and Orchestration
Experience deploying web and service-based applications in Windows/Linux environments
IT experience is a plus
SOC Management experience a plus
Working knowledge of a configuration management tool (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.)
Experience with monitoring tools (Microsoft Operations Management Suite), and certificates & SSL management
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience with responding to security questionnaires.
Experience with MDMmanagement
Understanding of microservices (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
Working knowledge of IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load balancing, WAFs and other cloud detection/protection systems, NAT, and packet filtering
Configuration and maintenance of common applications and protocols (Azure Resource Templates, JavaScript Frameworks, RESTful APIs, JSON, Python, and XML formats, etc.)
Experience with compliance frameworks (HIPAA, FISMA/FedRAMP, HITRUST, MARS-E, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, etc.) & a basic understanding of the ATO/ATC process
Previous work experience at an organization that develops software
Demonstrated project management skills & strong attention to detail
Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to individuals with varying levels of technical understanding
Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Experience with vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and incident response.
Ability to organize time and project work efficiently
Professional certification such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
