Senior C++ Embedded Engineer

The Job :
Build institutional expertise in deployment, telemetry and optimization of customer hardware hosted in Core Scientific Data Centers.
Responsibilities:

Trace and validate data flowing from mining pools -> control hardware -> mining hardware
Teardown and reverse engineer hardware and software
Qualifications:
Alternatively, a Computer Science degree with relevant embedded/low level of work experience
5+ years' experience working with low level hardware, firmware or embedded linux
Experience building complete linux toolchains/filesystems/bootloaders with buildroot or yocto
Experience implementing and debugging or reverse engineering bare metal, RTOS and linux-based embedded hardware and firmware systems, including microprocessors and FPGA SoCs
Experience performing power analysis and power optimization
Experience with laboratory test equipment such as Logic Analyzer, Oscilloscope, Power Monitor, Soldering Equipment, Protocol Analyzers, Multimeters
Ability to gather requirements and move them into institutional knowledge bases
Communicate and solve problems with on remote hardware with DCTs as eyes and ears
Experience with Cryptocurrency mining on FPGA, ASIC or GPU Hardware, nice to have
Physical Demands: Ability to work in an electronics lab is required.
