Senior Software Engineer - Sensor Calibration
Developing automated driving requires a complete, mature toolchain to collect,
generate, use and manage the data needed for a safe and robust solution.
aiData is the most advanced, data-driven pipeline for automated driving that
reduces the complexity of the processing with high automatization while still
ensuring automotive quality.
Sensors are the most important link between the system and the environment.
Perfect calibration and a deep understanding of how sensors recognize the
world is essential for an automated driving application.
As a Senior Software Engineer in the Calibration team, you will have the
opportunity to use your skills and expertise to research, design and develop
new, high precision calibration algorithms used for millions of upcoming
Stellantis cars over the next years. Your strong technology background and
communication skills will provide a stable base for the team to deliver
scalable and easily usable software and calibration processes to the partners
and future users.
Job Summary
Research and develop high precision online, offline and factory sensor
calibration algorithms for different sensor modalities such as cameras,
radars and lidars
Help the team to provide scalable, highly available and resilient
calibration and diagnostic software for clients and partners
Provide technical leadership and expertise to the team to enable delivery
of features and system components
Attending or conducting workshops on calibration topics
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or any
related field
Minimum 5 years of software development experience in a professional
environment
Software development experience in C++ and Python
Experience in developing perception algorithms, e.g. image processing or
other sensor-related topics
Strong mathematical skills
Advanced level English skills
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
Willingness to test algorithms hand-on in test vehicles in a workshop
environment
Passionate about delivering high quality solutions
Self-starter, a strong sense of ownership, gets things done mentality
Strong written and oral communication skills
Exhibit flexibility and prioritization
Good team player and work well with people from different nationalities
and sites
Considered as a plus
Master's degree in a sensor-related technical or Automotive field
Experience in working with sensors and sensor data (camera, lidar, radar,
IMU, GNSS)
Experience with sensor calibration algorithms
Experience with ceres and eigen libraries
