Medicine is constantly changing, but clinical research operations are not progressing as quickly. Right now, there’s a huge disconnect between how research operates and the technology available. Many hospitals and academic medical centers still use tools that rely heavily on manual processes or slow, inefficient workflows. There may be hesitation to invest in new technologies because of a fear of shaking up the status quo. Yet, while many companies claim to fit the bill of what research staff needs to complete the operation, they fall short of delivering results.
